Èrshísì
Poem by Manay Myra

Three hands keep moving,
On the numbers they're pointing.
What have you done, and what have not?
Whatever, hands are not gonna stop.

Tik-tak, tik-tok,
Shall I dance, or shall I dub?
Tik-tak, tik-tok,
Shall I just watch, pretending I am numb.

White is still white, a blank.
Typed, trashed, tired -aspiring female monk.
Respite, enjoy a cup of a powder black
Maybe it could help, for brain to perform the task.

On a large screen we always see
Numbers, masks and authority
Entertained in a hospice? No.
Waiting for remedies? Yes.

A hospice, serve as cage
Don't go out or don't be loud.
How will our esse will be?
We only have Èrshísì.

DIY Christening Souvenir Ideas

Planning for a baptismal celebration? If you are looking for an affordable DO IT YOURSELF christening souvenir, you’re in the right place. Anyway, I made these souvenirs in 2016 for my son’s christening on December in a Catholic church. This enhanced community quarantine due to COVID19 pandemic gives me enough time to organize photos and so I saw these until I found myself writing this very first blog post.

I’m making souvenirs while baby is asleep.
Acrylic boxes with mini rosary and mini bible inside. I edited the ‘THANK YOU’ card; print at Photoline using glossy paper then tied it with a ribbon.

My idea for souvenirs is something that is related to religion. I was a breastfeeding mom by the way so although I love shopping personally, things are different from what we used to do when we are a single. I seriously gave up the ”gala dito, gala doon” without my son with me. Thank you very much for the convenience of online shopping: that’s where I got these mini rosaries, mini bible and acrylic boxes.

Christenign candles: Dark blue for ninongs and to my husband, white blue for me and to ninangs.
I searched online for quotes for Godparent. Edited through smilebox , printed at Photoline then I put it inside the photo frame which I bought for 40 pesos. 🙂

Kens’ baptismal was just a simple celebration. Maarte lang talaga ako 🙂 Why not if it is for the occasion that only happens once in a lifetime. One day, we will all going to look back and have them something good to tell you of what you have done to them.

As we stay home during this enhanced community quarantine, you may want to try something, discover something. Do some craft, read a book, cook, bake, or whatever that you’ll find enjoyment during this uncertain times.

Stay home and stay safe! God loves us!

Love,

Myra

About Me

Hi! It’s me Myra. A mom, a wife, a pure Bicolana, and that’s why I came up with my online nick name as your Manay Myra. In Bikol, ‘Manay’ stands for an eldest sister (hermana).

This blog is for me to have an online platform to share some glimpses of who am I and of what I do. And this includes what I use and what I can say about it, our adventures, the food I serve, my life as a mother and a wife, and as a college student. Now you have hints of what this blog will all about.  Product “honest” reviews, motherhood, food, travel and anything in between.

I hope you’ll like staying’ on this part of the World Wide Web. If you have any suggestions, comments please let me know in a comment section.

Thank you for visiting and God Bless!
